Toodyay is approximately 90 minutes north east of Perth, and 20 minutes north of Northam. The town is situated on the banks of the Avon River, and is nestled
among undulating hills. Toodyay offers a wide variety of activities and
facilities, including a local district high school, sporting facilities, an
annual agricultural show, and various sporting and community clubs. Toodyay also
hosts a section of the annual Avon Descent whitewater race.
Toodyay's close proximity to Northam means that many services can be provided
either in Northam or by visiting specialists, in addition a child health centre is located in the town.
