Beverley is situated approximately 130 kilometres east of Perth. The Shire has a population of over 1500 people and a large part of its industry is based in grain crops and sheep farming. This friendly country town provides all essential services and activities including education, sport, and recreation and shopping facilities. A variety of traditional sports and popular recreational activities are available.

Brookton is situated 138 kilometres south east of Perth, and is halfway between Beverley and Pingelly. The Shire of Brookton has a population of approximately 1100 people. The industry of the area is based in livestock and cereal crop farming.
