The aim of Avon Hospice:

  • A place without regimentation where family and friends are free to visit as the patient wishes, and where the patient and family are involved in the decision making.
  • Control of symptoms such as pain, breathlessnes and nausea are important aspects of care.
  • Recognition of emotional, social and spiritual issues.
  • Provision of support and counselling for people with a life threatening illness, but for whom there is a good life expectancy.
